Default Fader inconsistencies

Hi
I am seriously considering a procontrol. I have borrowed the ex demo one from a local shop with the option to buy. There are a couple of problems with the unit and I want to know whether these are to be expected or not. The first is small and easily fixed...the bar/beat led doesnt work. The second is a bit more serious. The number one fader feels ...sticky. Its fine if you make a fairly definite movement, but a small, very slow movement is a problem. It feels as if its not being released by the motor as much as it should. Almost as if that release was controlled by a gate with a slightly too high threshold. It seems to grate when moved very slowly. The other faders dont do this but they do vary in tension a bit. I've tried playing around with the fader pull but no joy. As these are supposed to be the best faders around I would expect perfet function and consistancy. What do you think? The unit is six months old.
Thanks everyone
Jack
