What I'm noticing is that on my M1 Mac under Big Sur 11.1 on PT 2021.7, that I get the colored tabs at the bottom of the mix strips, but the actual strip remains gray.

On the color window, when "tracks" is selected in pull down, I don't have the button to apply color to tracks, that used to be just to the right of the dropdown.

I don't see a replacement for that button in the UI Customization tabs.

BTW, M1 Mac is not my daily driver. I'm transitioning to it and working through compatibility issues as they arise, on PT and interfaces ETC.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Maybe the problem is your OS version then? PT 2021.7 is supported on 11.4 (and later as per my tests, current Big Sur works well). Who knows what the 11.1 adds to the mix.

in the Color Palette window under UI Customization under Tracks, adjust the Track Header Brightness and Track Header Saturation. see attached screenshot:

That already exists - you can go back to the original pallette in the PT preferences.

happy to report that the issue with track colors not matching there headers/footers (mentioned early in this thread) has now been fixed in Pro Tools 2021.10. see attached screen shot. thanks.

Adding back to this -

I am noticing this issue having just updated a month or so ago.

It seems there is a less overall saturation in the track header. Even at 100%, its just simply not as saturated as it once was.

This is something I relate to with the OP, as I heavily rely on a color system to navigate quickly and these more dull colored tracks are really making that a bit more difficult.
