Does this take up one or two thunderbolt connections on the iMac?

I like the idea of the LaCie rugged for the audio drive. Very nice indeed.
It would be one thunderbolt input on the mac and one of the connections of the chassie and on the second one you can daisy chain a external monitor or another drive etc so you get a "second thunderbolt connection" free

They are both a good option and you could get that chassi and only one SSD to start with and when you want to add a second ssd you just shove in the second ssd in the chassi.

Hi
thanks Craig, I just noticed with the Lacie ruged drive that is is 5400rpm is that ok. I thought it should be at least 7200rpm?
Ino it's thunderbolt but it 5400?

The Lacie Rugged drive that Christopher linked is a 250GB SSD. Do not buy the spinning version if it's only 5400rpm. A 5400 RPM spinning disk will be too slow.

Just a Bunch Of Disks
each physical disk in the chassis is it's own logical drive
