ProControl with Pro Tools HD 8

do you have another MIDI device to check the MIDI I/O?
I've seen them fail before
cables in the wrong ports would be my other thought

I just add 2 accel cards to my pro tools set up, but I can not get the digitest to run while all 3 cards are installed. I removed the last card and everything is back to normal, but when the third card is installed the computer recognizes the card. does this mean the card works? even though i can't get the digitest to run?

Apart from digitest! Does pro tools load and run ok with both accel cards?

I have 4 192's connected to my system the primary one is working fine. How and what do I use the other for? and can I connect synthesizer to system as well as an mpc 1000 to make beats? or did i ask to many questions?

which one of your many posts here are you referring to? And if basic setup stuff what documentation exactly are you following and at what point do things diverge from the documentation? Have you posted basic info about your setup? Start at the "help us help you, read this before posting..." Link at the top of every DUC page. If you want help from other users the best way to get that is to provide the expected information, start with reading the documention, and be super clear what is happening.

If you have a problem unrelated to the rest of this thread you may be better starting a new thread. Or if you think you need an urgent response the way to get that is to phone and pay for Avid support.

I want to know what procedure to I take to get my other output sources working on my pro control I have 7&8 working,but I'm have a problem with 1&2 and 5&6 I read the manual,but not quit understanding it help would be appreciated.

What *exactly* are you trying to do? In plain English. Is it get the surround sound L/R front channels working? A tailback output? What? it's confusing what you are even asking as you likely only need Main Out L/R through the monitor controller in the ProControl to "make beats", other outputs/mixes you would often pull straight from the 192 outputs, other inputs go straight to the 192 inputs, both often via a separate patch panel, headphone amps/cue mix controllers etc.

Do you actually have the 192 IOs connected and working and can you connect inputs and outputs to them and actually have that work? That is the first step, start there.

Then whatever 192 Outputs you want to use for say your surround outputs you need to get from the 192 to the corresponding input on the right input connector on your Pro Control and then the Pro Control will get that to its Output connector. Start at the 192, draw a diagram, Change the IO settings in Pro Tools to suit the cables you have and/or make up or get new cables made as needed.
