MP9 does not load on Win7 64bit

Hi, I bought MobilePre + MP9. I followed the install instructions for both: installing the MobilePre drivers first, connecting it, then installing MP9 software (then rebooting when asked), then putting in the Ilok, then trying to run MP9.

The program will not run. I get the blue-circle "hourglass" for between 5 and 10 seconds and nothing happens.

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit on an Intel 512 120GB SSD.
I have a 7200rpm 750GB HD also. processor is i7, 8GB ram, nvidia 540.
I do not receive any error messages or see any screens. Simply nothing happens. It seems to make no difference if the Ilok or MobilePre are connected or not.
The system reqs for MP9+MobilePre are: win7 home premium, pro, or ultimate (32 or 64 bit), 2gb ram, 15gb HD (and ilok key + 2 usb ports).

Somehow, after re-installing it again without the plugins, it worked. so then I added all the plugins on the CD, and it still works. What I did differently was remove Ilok and shutdown instead of reboot after installs. unplug/plug in MobilePre, and turn off my usb DVD drive, and then boot the computer. Maybe that was it!
