Default ProTools & Yamaha DM2000

Does anybody have experience with the DM2000 controlling Protools? I'm considering buying a DM2000 and I'd like to have some opinions.

What about the sound, the possibilities and the integration with ProTools.

Thanks a lot

I use the DM-2000 since its on the market - and beside many other very good things it does i also use it as a remote for PT (HD2 under Mac OS 9.22 - will upgrade to 6.0 soon). It works flawless - just great. For mixing i use now both - wichever is better for what i want. Did not have a single problem - and the setup is quite simple too. Just love it...

hey Ploch-

i'm strongly considering the yet unreleased Yamaha DM-1000, the 2000's little brother.

have you used the surround matrixing on the 2000 yet? we're hoping that we can simply come out of our PT rig into the DM-1000 and use it's on-board surround matrix instead of having to use a 3rd party box like a Martinsound or that Tascam matrixer.

thanks for any info/opinions.

marty.

hey Ploch, have you compared the DM2000 with the 02R 96K?
Thanks
