Default PTLE w/ Mac Pro - Internal SATA drive order?

Problem -
PTLE freezes temporarily while using Ocean Way Drums located on an internal SATA drive.
PTLE freezes temporarily when saving a session using Ocean Way Drums.

I am wondering if the order of the SATA drives is at all important. Mine are -
1. system
2. samples
3. PT sessions/audio

Any suggestions?

Ocean Way Drums runs via Kontakt right?

Kontakt it not yet up-to-date for Leopard and PTLE 7.4.2. Maybe in December when NI releases Kontakt 3.5 there will be some more stability, but until then I'd be willing to bet that's the reason behind your problem.

And/Or.... looking at your system specs, you have some problems in there too. You're running Mac OS 10.4.7 with PTLE 7.4.2? Those don't really go together...

Thanks for the reply - Oops. I had the wrong details, sorry.

os 10.4.11
ptle 7.4
kontakt 2.2.4

still, is there a correct order in which my drives should be mounted?

No, drive order doesn't matter. You should however have spotlight turned off etc. as covered in the General Troubleshooting thread.

if you are running 7.4 you might want to step up to Leopard.
