Default Toolbox XP and another sound card???

As a Toolbox owner, am I stuck using the Audiomedia III card or can I eventually swap in another? If so which one should I look for?

Toolbox = AMIII. Period.
Digi software only works with Digi hardware

Your next step up would be the 001.

or the Mbox, although thats a step up and down at the same time.

Mbox only has 2 in/out at the same time. but does have good ad/da-converters, and has 2 preamps built in and a heaphone-amp.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Doh! Didn't really consider the Mbox.

Y'know whats funny though? I used to run Cubase (what a POS) on a Audiophile2496 and now I'm running LE on the AMIII and the sound quality, not to mention the levels, are easily 100% better! (even though they're only 18 bit - many times crappy A/D can be laid at the feet of a jittery clock - maybe that's it)
As long as I can finagle two extra inputs out of my AMIII with a relatively cheap A/D converter, I don't think I'll be tempted to upgrade for sometime....I'm finally at the point where I figure "if its not broke, don't fix it". ^_^

I mean, its not even like money is an object, the AMIII does a really respectable job! My current setup:

Then again, I'm still tempted by a refurb PT MIX system

this is a nice complete and cheap ad/da converter...the Mindprint DI-port. 2 ad-converters 2 da converters 2 mic-pre's, headphone amp, mix knob (just like the mbox)...

I got mine for 250 euro's, and it is a wonderful addition for amiii cards
