A real head scratcher
Hey guys, Ive got a weird one here. I have 3 system hd,s. One has High Sierra and latest ProTools runs great with all my 3rd party plugins at 96k. I can run low buffers at 512 all runs smooth. On the 2nd drive I have an exact system of the Sierra drive but it is Mojave 10.14.6. It will not let me play my sessions at a low 512 buffer and even higher. I get the dreaded errors. I then on my 3rd drive wiped and reinstalled Mojave and installed ProTools with no 3rd party plugins. A bare system and the same thing happens.I have tried everything. Also I run DP10.11 and it is doing the same thing. Anyone have any suggestions. By the way all works well at 48K. I may have to switch to that, thanks !

Re: A real head scratcher
Mojave is not all that great, if you ask me. Catalina showed how sluggish Mojave really was, runs much better now. If you can live with High Sierra and have good performance, why not stay there?

Re: A real head scratcher
I am realizing that now. I do not think I am able to put Catalina in my 2009 Mac without looping thru hoops. I am going to stay with High Sierra. Thanks !

Re: A real head scratcher
No problem. But just for kicks, try to get that Catalina running on your machine. I am sure you find a spare drive somewhere for testing purposes
