Default Cant record enable more than one track at a time

I made a new session template with an updated I/O list, etc.... and now when I record enable a 2nd track, the first is disabled. I can no longer enable two tracks at the same time. I went back to other sessions and can still enable two at at time and I cant see what I did wrong on the new template. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Have you ever had Pro Tools working properly over a long period of time on your current system?

Post a Sandra Report;

Use SiSoftware's Sandra Lite application to generate a full system profile:

www.sisoftware.co.uk

Under SiSoftware Sandra, click on "Download & Buy" to download the free Sandra Lite version or purchase other versions. After installing Sandra, click on the 'Hardware' tab and run the 'Computer Overview', then copy and paste into your post here on the DUC.

What kind of tracks are these? On my system, if I want to put more than 1 instrument track into record-ready, I hold the ALT key and click on one, and that makes all the instrument tracks go red.

I'm enabling a mic and guitar line in. But I also use up to 6 at a time when I render my drums to an audio file (to save CPU). I enable one track, then when I click to enable the 2nd track, it turns off the first track that I enabled. Crazy. I have gone back to older sessions and multi tracks work at the same time just fine. So I think I must have done something in preferences, or setup, etc.... on my new template.

If I have to, I will utilize an old session to make a new template, but I would like to understand what caused this to occur. And keep all of the work I did on the new
template.

Thanks

Never seen that here with audio tracks. Maybe try trashing prefs? That's step #1 for any "odd" behavior with Pro Tools.

Or, if the Preference is unchecked, just Shift + Click other record buttons when one is lit.

Cheers,
