Default Slaving 96 i/o to big ben using x256

Hi there folks...
I use PT ver 7.4 on a Mac G5. My hardware includes 96io, 888 24, apogee psx100 DA/AD convertor and the big ben for clocking.
my big ben is connected to the 96io's external wc input. And to the 888 wc in.
How do I set the 96 io to receive superclock from the bigben?
After all the option is marked on the rear panel of the 96io...1x/256x
At 44Khz I get a MUCH better sound connecting my apogee psx100 D to A to the AES out of the 888 legacy unit (that does accept superclock from the bigben) then connecting the psx100 to the 96 io aes output that's slaving to the bigben wc. (but not to the bigben's superclock option) I hope I'm clear...
thnx guys
