I hear ya. I have 5 blue interfaces and one Apogee, not a single currently supported grey interfaces. But I'm not worried...

Cool. I mean if they are, I get it. No one wants to get dinged investing in an older one if it isn't going to work down the line.

The blue interfaces use the exact same connection protocol as the new Avid I/O
the only difference is the cable connection Avid sells the adapters for $40.00.
Avid never changed the interface from HDX/HDN form the Legacy Blue interfaces.
The only thing that has changed is the Legacy port for the old 888/882 interfaces is off on the Blue interfaces.

If I were a betting man, I would bet they will work fine. From all my reading about 12, its not really new code, but more of an update to allow for this new cloud collaboration feature(why the don't call it 11.5 is a mystery). For those of us that don't need that, 11 may well be something we stay with, regardless. In any case, the info available tells me that nobody is forced to update to 12, so I wouldn't lose any sleep on this. Let it hit the public and see what happens

Great reference. 30 years ago, my college roommate had a bunch of Asterix comics, and we spent many happy (and not particularly sober) hours reading them.

But IIRC, it was the chief Vitalstatistix who was worried that the sky would fall on his head, not Asterix…

I stand corrected though I will always remember the laughter I had when I realised SPQR was translated "sono pazzi questi romani" :)

(no offense)

Exactly.

But they make the best pizza in the universe. I've been there and it just amazes me.

Enough of the off-topic :)
