selling my 003 ilok questions

HI, just sold my 003 rack factory & bought an aurora 16.. Before i mail the 003 out I want to make sure I have the ilok issue sorted out.
I sold the 003 with everything it came with: manuals, etc & including the factory bundle & the ilok, but I need to know how to get my name off the ilok? How to clean it so to speak so the new buyer can start from scratch..

As to my next move, I am now simply purchasing the basic version of PT10 & not interested in plugins as i have all outboard gear.

any help appreciated.

Let him have the account - give him ur sign in name and password - he logs in and changes user name email and all that and wha-la no ilok xfer fees

All under the assumption that u have no other ilok licenses that u need on that account

When u get 10 register anew - different account user name and all that

sold it for 900 aussie dollars.. around 850 usd. was like mint with box & everything.

It's a much better plan to get a new iLok, move all the licenses to the new iLok, then eject/remove the new iLok with the licenses from your account.
The iLok will sync to the buyer's account when he gets it.

EJ what if I wanted to do the same thing as Marvin but with a 003 rack and with Pro tools eight - wouldn't I have to actually include the actual ilok because there is no actual ilok asset (at least for 8) or would it use the asset for the factory bundle??

I have been wanting to try this b/c like I said I'm trying to sell my 003 rack but there're other ilok licenses on my account because I sync'd them all to the same account. - so if I use the eject method to actually get the authorizations to run for PT8 I would have to eject the actual I lock itself from my account after it was empty right

You'd sell the 003R with the PT 8 software, and do a transfer of ownership. Supply 8 to the customer, with the activation number.
If you wanted to sell the Factory Bundle plug-in assets with it, it'd still be better to put them on a new iLok, and ship them with the 003.
Not many folks want to have to manage another iLok account, especially if it only involves the dime-a-dozen plugs that were included on the Factory iLok.

I haven't bought PT10 yet so i don't have a new ilok.. I don't even know if 10 comes with an ilok but i see no reason to buy one if i don't need any of the plugins?
If 10 does come with an ilok i guess thats a better option though..
