How to retrieve project from Avid Cloud?
I uploaded a project for collaboration. Then I worked further on the project and saved it... and I thought I was working on the version that was on my drive, but when I tried to re-load the project my my hard drive, I noticed the new work was not there. It is only on the version I had uploaded for collaboration to Avid Cloud. I would like to retrieve the project from the cloud back and save it over the original that is on my drive. How would you do this? No collaboration has been done.
Thanks |

Re: How to retrieve project from Avid Cloud?
Thanks for replying. I did "Save a Copy in..." of the project but it is still a copy that is stored on the cloud with the collaborated file, and not on my drive, as it has that cloud symbol too.

Re: How to retrieve project from Avid Cloud?
Go to the location where you supposedly stored the session and see if it's there. Open that and if it works you are safe to delete the project from the cloud.

No, the updated tracks are not there. They are only in the Cloud.
Thanks |

Re: How to retrieve project from Avid Cloud?
This is not rocket science.
Again. You do a Save Copy In. Did you look carefully at what you are doing here? You have to select the session format in the Save Copy In dialog panel. If you select a **Session** format you get a session, if you select **Project** you get a Cloud Project. It's the most natural extension of how Pro Tools has worked before. |

Re: How to retrieve project from Avid Cloud?
Yeah I get it that this is not rocket science. Let's not go there. Anyways, I told you, I didn't save in and it still has the copy that has the cloud emblem. I will try saving it as a session and then check my drives. So far, the new tracks that I did on the project or not in the project that is on my drive. Thanks for this new information and I will try it and let you know if it works.

Re: How to retrieve project from Avid Cloud?
Session = hard drive
Project = cloud
