Default Create an 14kHz / 8bit / mono file

Hello,

A client needs an 14kHz / 8bit / mono file for a speaker system in cinema's.

Is this possible with Pro Tools 11?
I did found out you can downscale with the Lo-Fi plugin, but I do not know how to get to 14kHz and how to properly export the audio.

Thank!

I doubt you have the specs right here. What *exactly* is this for? What hardware is playing this back? From what media? What actual format e.g. linear PCM?

14kHz is used as an analog sync frequency, are things getting confused with that?

These are the instructions I've received. Maybe it is more clear now?

You can do this with Audacity.

1) Select Tracks->Resample and write in 14000 as New sample rate.
2) Select File -> Save Other -> Export as Wav.
3) Select Save as type -> Other uncompressed files -> Encoding -> Unsigned 8-bit PCM.

Done.

Audacity. Though, if you have iZotope RX, use it for the SRC, export at 16-bit, and then use Audacity to get it down to 8-bit. I have to do a similar thing for phone messages on other systems, only with mu-Law compression. Strange that we users of the two most professional audio programs have to resort to freeware to do certain types of paid work.

BRING BACK 8-BIT EXPORT! I just upgraded from PT10 to 12 and I am regretting it more and more. Offline bounce is fine, but not when I have to use other programs to do final processing of files!! Absolute ********.
