Default Best way to learn Xpand2

I'm brand new to PT and I'm having a bear of a time learning how to use Xpand2 to program drums. I've programmed drums on a dedicated drum machine before so I'm not new to that - just Xpand2.

For example, there are 4 channels. How do I use all four in the same track? How do I access different sounds within one channel? It seems as though if I change the source for one channel I'd be changing all of the sounds already recorded using that channel. And if I apply effects to one channel aren't I applying them to all 4?

These questions are just the tip of the iceberg, so if anyone can point me to a video series (or written material) that goes over Xpand2 in detail that would be great!

I think there are many easier ways to do drums. Have you looked into Strike

I assume Strike is a 3-party plug in? They aren't allowed in PT First.

The easiest way to use Xpand for drums is to load a full kit via the plugin presets rather than trying to choose individual drums via each module. When choosing a preset, you’ll find that all four modules are set to the same midi channel and each drum sound will be mapped to individual notes. You’ll just need to hunt up and down your keyboard to find where each drum sound is located.
