Default Help with BFD2 2.0.1 settings with PT 8.0.3pr and TD-6

Hi all...

First of all an explanation of my setup:

Mac Pro 2.66ghz with 10GB RAM running OS X 10.6.1
003 Factory Complete
Pro Tools LE 8.0.3pr
BFD2 v2.0.1
Roland TD-6 connected through Edirol UM-2

Ok... I'm wondering if anyone has had success with BFD2 in 8.0.3pr?

I have tried creating a new session, with just an instrument track with BFD2 inserted and one Audio Track. No other tracks or plugs inserted.

With BFD2 engine and Pro Tools playback settings set to defaults and using internal clock I keep getting the following error... 'Lost communication with the audio interface. Please try increasing "H/W Buffer Size" or removing some plug-ins, and make sure you have a valid clock source. Press OK to reset device. (-6097)'

I can load my keymap, a kit and start playing ok... but in what appears to be a totally random fashion I get the above error. I have tried increasing the buffer to 512... which affects latency, but I still have the same problem.

Anyone have any suggestions.

Oh... and on another note... how the heck do you get choke to work on a CY-8? I've clicked the choke with aftertouch box and it still doesn't work.

Thanks to anyone who may be able to help.

1) Get build 2.1.0.47

2) Pro Tools defaults to filtering all aftertouch events... change your MIDI settings in Pro Tools.

Hi Rail,

Thanks for the response... have updated to 2.1.0.47 and the crashing seems to have gone so far.

Also... I think the choke may have been working all along, but the cymbal choke fade settings at default were so long it didn't sound like it was working :). I also found the MIDI filter settings in Pro Tools which I hadn't stumbled across yet, so thanks.

I have only one last problem now... I've got the Hi Hat pedal working ok... but have a strange issue. I have the tip and shank both mapped correctly to variable. The tip works fine and sounds great from open to closed, but the shank doesn't sound at all when the pedal is closed. I have to open the pedal a fraction for the shank to produce a sound. The numbers on the articulation zones are set the same on both the keys for tip and shank. Any ideas?

I have them all, I can highly recommend the Jazz and Funk pack, some lovely, lovely close mic snares and toms.

My whole library is 242 GB and thats BFD and BFD2 with all the expansion packs :-D
