Default Eleven Pricing !!

What is it with Digi, they really just want to upset their non-US customers ?

US price $595 (=£290)
UK price £381 (=$780)

I'll wait till I go to the US to buy, that is if I wanted to buy it!!

I don't like getting ripped off this way,

Digi this is very poor, what are you thinking!!

seems like it might be a misprint. But the internet is your friend. Buy it here and have it shipped.

Hi,

That's no misprint! exchange rates and UK VAT!! you think that's high, you should see the price of Waves bundles in the UK

Anyway, i've registered an account at the US digistore and buy my software as a US owner, as long as its a download only purchase. i've also done this with Eventide and saved about £200 when buying anthology II.

Ya I thought the same thing this week when I looked at the prices of a SSL AWS 900 in England then I checked out the prices in the states.
The same console over here was $30,000 more.

Dollar to Pound ratio right now SUCKS!

Chris,
Sounds like a good idea, normally I get a problem when I put in the credit card number and they see I'm not living in the US.

Global business' like Digi, Waves etc have to be more transparent with their pricing. We are not mugs who don't travel a bit to find a better deal. We are business people looking to make the best value, I'm not running Abbey Road, £100 is profit in my own pocket.

In Boston in Jan so will be down to Guitar Center if I want this.

If they were a bit closer (ie a 2 or 3% difference) then I would buy it here, the only winners are the stores in the US.
Guess Digi UK are happy to lose business for us to buy in the US.

Tony,
Re: SSL I would have a UK holiday & put the SSL in a large bag and take it home !!
Even with shipping $s (DHL are VG) and a great time in the UK (of course I would recommend a tour around Scotland as well) you will be many $$s better off.

First off I just want to say that I think that really sucks but I have two ideas that may help. The first option I see is emailing a company like Sweetwater or AudioMidi.com and ask them if they would be willing to charge your card and physically open the box to get the activation code and email that to you. I did the same thing when the AppleCare for my MacBook was about to run out and I couldn't wait for shipping I was able to get someone to open the box and read off the code over the phone. The other option I see is to have someone purchase it for you here in the US and email you the code.

Eleven would be an iLok authorization, wouldn't it?

Hi,

So if you purchase a plugin from a retailer like sweetwater, what do you actually get?

it used to be a box of fresh air with a small card with a code on and that code i guess could ultimately be used to authorise an ilok etc. so how does it work now with ilok only plugs?

Chris

A couple years ago the plug-ins used to be delivered on license card that would be inserted into the iLok and authorize it. Then they stopped that and started using a code that would be entered online and that deposits the authorization into your iLok.com account so you can sync it to your iLok.
