Superduper will backup ACLs, CCC will not. If you don't know what ACLs are, don't worry, but if you do, make a note of that fact.

You may be able to use the rsync command in Terminal, though I don't know what metadata it won't preserve. Each backup strategy preserves certain types of metadata. You may want to try googling the net to see what does what.

I thought it meant anterior cruciate ligament. I'd be interested to know what you meant though.
