Is just me, or is the way the new bounce to disk window interacts with the finder terrible??
It often sets the bounce location of the last session you bounced from, rather t than the current session (SO annoying to navigate to the current session), you can't view the contents of the folder you're bouncing to (for purposes of copying and pasting file names). It's so frustrating when you're the type of professional who's flipping between different projects all day long. |

It has always been like that. Switching from session to session, it does not always show the directory --you-- would expect. But it is not a big deal, at least to me.

A little intelligence in the BTD would be welcome.
With offline I stem & VI bounce way more than in the past. (Like import audio take you to current audio files folder first)

I have reported this before.

It is a bit frustrating that they removed the ability to click on and replace previous bounces. It seems the only way to name a bounce is to manually type it in the dialog box, which is slow when you're doing a hundred short bounces per day. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future update.

What is the last version where you know for certain that this could be done?

I don't understand why this was removed. Doesn't make sense. |

I don't like the auto naming. I like to be able to replace an existing mix if I make a small tweak. The new bounce dialog causes more steps/work for me. I understand things needed to be changed for offline and multiple stem bouncing but not having the name highlighted or even highlighted by a single click is a pain compounded by the fact the ability to click an existing file even for a slight name alteration is gone. At least the session retains the last name used, but even that doesn't help much because of the new architecture. |

Completely agree!! This has slowed me down quite a bit doing multiple radio spots. Also there is an annoying limit to the number of characters in the filename. Have to give files temp names and then go into finder to re-name with ISCI codes, etc.

Yes, I am doing the same thing. This adds several steps that were never necessary before PT11.
