I just tried out the Waves RBass plug in V. 6, and it seems to do what the good old dbx 120A Subharmonic Synthesizer does, generating selectable low frequencies harmonics. Anyone use it? I'd just as soon ditch the hardware box, and use a plug in if it sounds as good.
Thanks Mike

I have Lowender too but Cycling 74 have announced that they are no longer selling Pluggo (which is the shell that runs Lowender etc) or supporting new development of it in PT8 etc. I have it running ok'ish in PT 7.4 but it's end of the line unfortunately.
Shame as Lowender is excellent. Ray |

Hi,
RenBass, MaxxBass and also Aphex BigBottom are quite different from Lowender or dbx120. Lowender announce a MAC/PC RTAS version here: http://www.refusesoftware.com/news/feature/3 Cheers Florian |

The dbx is a pretty unique device. Rbass or MaxxBass sound completely different, IMO. I haven´t tried Lowender but I heard that it´s the closest to the dbx. frank.

Lowender is excellent, and it runs flawlessly on PT8. It generates - synthesizes SUBharmonics.

The plugin is in the plug-ins folder but PT7.4 seems to ignore it. Any hints how to get this to work? I might give it another try. I´ve tried the exact same thing years ago when lowender came out with the same result and I just deinstalled pluggo that never really installed and simply gave up. Frank.
