well i have decided to get a focusrite 428. i was pretty convinced i would just get the a./d card option with it but now i am thinking about this:
focusrite 428(1695$)+a/d card(599$)+ big ben (1350$) = 3650$ or focusrite 428 + rosetta 96k(2700$) = 4400$ I mean seriously, how much better will the conversion be on a rosetta compared to the ad card for a 428? and i know that the big ben uses the c777 clock and has all those word clock outs so i will be almost jitter free! but would the rosetta be worth it? Im not rich and there are other things i need to get but these are improvements i can use right away. (later i will upgrade my001 to 003 and new comp but that stuff is not as big an improvement as the pres and converters, imo...anyone care to add? Ultimate = 428 + rosetta + bigben = 5750$ !!!!! |
