I have found that Nvidia works quite well with Win10’s update scheme, but honestly I don’t see why they would have to update that much.....in general.

My understanding is that the inclusion (or not) of driver updates is entirely up to their respective developers and not Microsoft.

M$ will provide NVidia drivers, but they are typically on the old side. They will also provide drivers to some other hardware, like sound, but that can have problems. I typically update all the drivers in my machine, including chipset, manually a couple times a year.

My daughters machine was having sound issues just this last week, caused by M$ drivers installed by Windows Update. Installing the latest drivers from the OEM fixed the issue.

I'm running the free trial of PT Ultimate and have had just a couple of issues, mainly cosmetic. For instance, if I resize my screen from 100% to 120% to make text a little easier to read, PT won't accommodate that and the menu is half hidden at the top of my screen. Also, I use two monitors with one as an extension of the other so I can see both the track and mix windows (or the UA console). PT won't let me drag anything to the other monitor, which I find very annoying as all my other software does. I'm debating if I want to continue learning this DAW that is so obviously geared towards Mac users. Anyone else made a successful jump from Sonar or some other PC DAW to Pro Tools for Windows?
