Default Re: It's 2012- Why are we still pushing DSP processors?

I think a lot of these HDX users think that just by putting the plugins on the DSP cards their mix will sound better.

Ill take the new Waves Native AAX(Which will be announced in a few days) vs anything they can put on the DSP cards.

I hate to sound like a broken record but all these problems will be solved when PT becomes a 64 bit app

They dropped the ball for us with PT 10 but they need to milk the last few dollar$ out of this

As long as there are buyers they will continue to make dsp card, simple

You don't need a Porche to go grocery shopping, an old vega would do fine but this doesn't stop people from buying them

There's an ass for every seat!!!!

TDM does hardware inserts very well (as long as you dont want to do parallel compression.... there are a variety of reasons that all add up to cause this) and so does HDX.

I worked for a friend mixing in his studio and he had sonar (back on 6 I think),
And it had some cool tricks... I got great results, but I felt (as I do with most DAW's) that the UI was way over cluttered the tracks sounded great, though!
