Digi 003 Rack + and Maverick, HELP!

Hi to All, i've installed the new drivers 11.1 for Digi 003 + rack, but probably the Avid team forget a very important passage in this upgrade!

WITH THE NEW DRIVERS IS NOT POSSIBLE TO MIRROR/ROUTE THE ANALOG OUTPUTS 1+2 to DIGITAL OUTS!

this was possible in the past, (10.3.3 drivers) using the preferences of DigiCore Audio Manager, but now with this new driver, the DIGICORE is no longer working.

This is a very large BUG (or perhaps I should say FORGETFULNESS) for everybody use the 003 connected to a PRESONUS CENTRAL STATION, or to other digital devices! and i believe we are thousands in the world to use this setup.

Somebody can help me understand how can i resolve this?

Seriously? Avid is forgetful? Avid forgot a passage of code?

AVID and Pro tools forums have from day one said NOT to update to Mavericks as pro tools is NOT supported yet,

not to mention that the 003 family is a LEGACY product. That means you shouldnt be updating the OS on it as it may not work until AVID states it will work or gives an update so it will work..


there are a number of threads here regarding Mavericks and pro tools and it not being supported yet and buggy.

Not Avid's fault, but you are too quick to jump on the new OS before Avid and the 3rd party companies have had a chance to make everything work.

Everybody using the 003 are not on Maverick yet, and i for one have not moved up to pro tools 11 yet. My 003r is working on Pro tools 10.

As Chris stated. Your asking for trouble updating when Avid says not yet. I have a 003 Rack and this update scares me. Staying with 11.

i don't agree with you.

These are the drivers ti've installed and that don't works.

I believe that a serious company like Avid, first to make public the drivers upgrades should at least test them, or not?

As for the wait to change to the new OS, we bought two new MacBookPro with Maverick already mounted above, which do you think we should bring support to disinstall MAverick and to mount the old OS?

It would be ridiculous!

Here there is little to laugh, but much to think about the Avid policies, Maverick is an important OS, Avid had better prepare for change, especially now that, in this Christmas period, when sales are increasing and many people like me are changing the machines, in this period.

A part your defense of Avid (that i never attack), have you an idea of how i can solve this problem, before to pass to others, more upgraded and aggressive, and less expansive platforms like... Logic?

Let's not get hasty.
I would have waited. I don't think it would cost much to have them load the old OS if they can.
I have an 003 and learned my lesson a long time ago. If it works, leave it alone.

well since Mavericks was only released Oct 22nd ( which is NOT even 30 days ago), i highly doubt most of the 3rd party companies or AVID have had time to get a complex software as Pro tools compatible yet. Since you seem to not give any company time to rewrite code, perhaps you should go back to analog tape which works with any software OS and update.

And just because the driver is supported for Mavericks, doesnt mean PRO TOOLS IS SUPPORTED and communicates with the 003r correctly.


If you hate it so much, go to Logic and have a fun time.

The rest of us will wait and give all the companies time to work everything out on mavericks which is BRAND NEW and only 3 WEEKS old.

Sorry you dont agree with every responder to your thread and the 286 others that read your post and didnt bother to respond because we had already answered it correctly. And you should not have bought the two new macs on Mavericks until you had researched it to see if they were compatible with the software you wanted to use.

I guess Avid is expecting us all to upgrade our audio/midi interface for pro tools software to work with mac os x mavericks.

Didn't there used to be(and maybe still IS) a way of using something like Ctrl-click on an output to choose multiple outputs? If so, then doing that in the IO setup page(default output) might solve the issue
