driver files to use ProControl in PT10

Hello,
Just joined here, and this is my first post...
I have been a PT user for years, but justs setting things up a little different, and I see that you guys already have it going...so I figured one of you could help steer me in the right direction...
I just got a good deal on a ProControl, and will be using it with my installation of PT10 HD (although I do not have any TDM cards or I/Os).
I hear that I need some older driver files to use the ProControl in PT10, so I was hoping someone would let me know where to go, or would be able to send me the files?

Upgrading 3 studios from 7.4HD to 10HD. D-Command, C|24 both went smoothly. Having an issue on the third where a ProControl is not being seen on the Ethernet bus in Protools. Works and is seen fine in PT 7.4HD, just not 10HD.

Will the driver mentioned here help with my problem?

I am successfully using ProControl with Pro Tools HD 10. No 'special' driver needed. I'm on Windows 7 though. It could be a Mac OSX issue.

What you need is the controller personality file. Those should be installed for all controllers when you install the app.

On OSX these are under :

Applications > Avid > Pro Tools > Controllers

Is the ProControl.bundle file there ?

If so then you should be able to configure your procontrol under the ethernet peripherals menu.

Hi Chris,

Yes, the bundle files are all in place. I'm going to test today with a crossover cable direct to the computer to rule out any switch/router issues.

Also it may be a preference issue as I have been restoring the system drive for each additional machine from a clone of the first one I setup to save time. Will also try deleting the prefs and see the results.

Any additional thoughts?

I'm having this problem too. PT 10 HD trying to connect with PC + FaderPack (Mac 10.8.5). Regularly seen in Setup/Ethernet Controllers but after clicking OK it returns an "error occurred while trying to load the controller personality...". Tried to reinstall PT, all the same. All was good with PT 8.1.1.

I'm not having any issues with my ProControl, Edit Pack, Edit Pack with PTHD 10 either. Are you using a crossover cable to the main unit and then regular Cat 45 Cables to the others?

Also to conform, you're sure you using PTHD 10 and not PT10. I do think you need special drivers for it to work with PT10 (native)

I did not change any connections, and it was (and still is) working well with PT HD 8.1.1 (ProControl + 1 Fader Pack).
