Default Font troubles...help please.

I recently had to reinstall ProTools LE 5.1.1 because of a hard drive crash and now the fonts are all screwed up. There is a script type font on parts of the transport bar, in all the preferences windows, on the mix window track name and various other places that is impossible to read. I'm running on Windows 98se. Any ideas on how to change this back to default. I've tried completely uninstalling the program and reinstalling it, but that hasn't helped. All other fonts in all other programs appear to be fine, its only in ProTools. Thanks.

Hi Tim.

This sort of came up a few years ago and I remeber writing a solution to it.

Here is the link....

Which means it's probably in the Answerbase, only better explained!

Let us know if it solves it for you.

Best regards,

Changing the appearance settings in windows didn't seem to have any effect on this particular font. It changed the other fonts and colours, but this unreadable font is still there. It is, however, only in ProTools, at least as far as I have found. Any other ideas?

Hi Tim.

Sounds tricky.

I guess I would try un-installing PT completely and then re-installing.

If that didn't work, I'd do a full format of the drive and start over.

Sorry.

Best regards,

Haigbabe
