Pop out windows

In Pro Tools First 2018.3 and 4...same results. Is is possible to pop out the windows from the PTF application? It seems that everything lives in the same window as the tracking and I'd like to pop out the mix and plug-ins to another screen. Of course, I may be missing something here....

What operating system are you on? If it is High Sierra, it's a change you have to make in system preferences under "Dock" and set "Prefer tabs when opening documents" to Manually

The gray backround "Desktop" is where the edit and track windows live and AFIK they cant be removed from it though they can be minimized within that structure and put side by side or top and bottom.

All other products that I have tried support this in Windows. Too bad.

stretch the background window across both screens (you can't do this maximized, needs to be regular and then stretch.) Then you can layout your smaller screens in this workspace.
