installed Sonnet 1.2 ghz!!
Hey all,
After waffling over whether to buy a new computer(G4) or upgrade to a G5 and get the 002r I decided to get the Sonnet 1.2ghz processor upgrade. all I can say is WOW!!! total improvement. My meters are bouncing in time and no running out of CPU errors. I know that Digi doesn't support them but it's working great! I can get more life out of my system and it cost me less than half of what a new computer (including trade in) would have cost me. So now I can save up for that HD3 system and still make music!!! hehe so for any of you fellow home studio guys on a budget this is a possible solution to upgrading your whole system. Digi 001 G4 450 single upgraded to 1.2ghz 1.2 gb RAM OSX 10.2.6 PTLE 6.1.1 Reason 2.5 a smile on my ugly face!!! Jeff |
