Confirmed on another PT12 rig that the "MIDI wait for note" bug has been squashed.

Agreed, Jfreak. 8.1.1/10.6.8 and the old 5.1.1/9.2.2.

Yeah, this solve part of the problem but if you want to record inserting a punch in you have to play the first notes late enough to be after the downbeat otherways they don't get recorded. I noticed that in version 10.3.9 they fixed a problem with the notes played in the count in that got stacked in the first beat. I believe that is in that very moment they ****ed up the code.

I still believe that for such an expensive program aimed to professional people such a mess must be fixed immediately and resources should be allocated.

It was working fine before so someone did a big mistake and is responsibility of the programming team to solve that. I don't really like that "it's gone now" attitude... I invested lots of money and I have to decide if I want to do so in the future. And now there are alternatives (hardware and software) that can compete... I know that Avid is now more into multimedia movie stuff and Live but still midi was working fine with my Commodore 64 in 1983; should not be difficult to get it right in 2015 with such a supercomputer hardware we all use today. Just go and have a look how was donein version 7.4.2 (midi was very good then). Of course I don't really know what I am saying about programming but I can understand that there mus be a code for that can be compared to see where the mistake was made. Is the midi aware programmer still around ? I've seen a lot of new names in the startup window
