Default I/O setup confusion

I seem to have a problem understanding the I/O setup-box. When I aggragate my Mbox with my mindprint, the Inputs of the mindprint are not active. So far I always thought, you make paths active by checking the little box next to the in or outputs of the desired interface. But in this case, that doesn't do the trick. If I choose the mindprint for my only interface, it works fine.
Or is that just the usual trouble with aggregated devices, since I have all kinds of issues with it, but this is a new one.

thanx for any help

Kai

Have you set up both devices in Audio Midi Setup?

Yes, I have, they have been working together before, and like I wrote, if I pick the mindprint as my only interface, it is working fine.
What I wanna know is, am I right to think, that checking that little box is, what activates or deactivates a path ?

kind of fixed it now, don't know exactly, what fixed it, did some fiddeling in the audio/midi setup, unchecked and rechecked some boxes and now it works...still not very satisfying, since I know, it will be gone again anytime and most definetely, when it's least convenient.
