Default Track Count on HD 1

Hi there,
I was wondering how many tracks you should be able to run on an HD 1 system running on a Mac G4 1.25 with 10.4. It seems that I have some settings wrong because I start maxing tracks around 58(that's counting stereo tracks as 2 tracks).
If you have any feedback it would be greatly appreciated.
Brandon

The way HD works is voices. You have 96 voices that you can access. So that would be, 96 mono tracks, or 48 stereo tracks. The thing you have to keep in mind that the way you configure your plug-ins takes up voices. Always put RTAS before TDM on any given audio track, if you do it the other way, it will eat up 4 voices stereo and 2 mono. Auditioning in the workspace takes up 2 voices, and always use TDM plug-ins on Aux and Master faders. You might want to consider upgrading to an HD 2 so you can get the full 192 voices. Hope this helps. :)

Hey, you meant RTAS before TDM, right?
