Bizarre GUI bug when changing length of clips

Hey gang...got a bit of input from some of the folks on r/Audioengineering and r/ProTools but so far no fixes, so I thought I'd give it a go here. A little while back, whenever I select a clip and try to edit the length of it, for the time I've got the mouse button held down, the clip jumps down and sort of oddly hovers partially over the track below it, as well as being shifted slightly to the right. When I release the button, it goes back...I thought initially I had engaged some arcane edit mode but it seems more and more like this is a legit bug.

I'm running 2018.10 (though I feel like it might have started a version or two ago, my memory is a little hazy) on Win 7 64. In the pics I've posted, the top picture is the normal view, and the bottom picture is while I've got a clip on track 5 selected and am attempting to change the length (which works BTW, it's just very difficult to see what I'm really doing because of where the clip is displayed). After I let go of the button, the clip returns to where it belongs (with the edit applied).

Yes, I saw this when I went to 2018.7. I put it down to incompatibilities with Win7. 2018.XX are intended for Win10, so the use of Win7 is now not supported. As I still use Win7 I went back to 2018.3 and have no problems.

Ahh cool, I'll probably just do that then. Fingers crossed...
