EWQL new Play version

Aaaahhhh,

The guys at East West did a great job with their new Play version that came out 3 days ago. Just installed it and the glitches I had once a while inside PT doesn't seem to occur anymore. They did some additions of functionality in the browser window too and these are realy helpfull to me.
I just love it . Also a lot more of convolution reverb settings and sheeeessshhhh they sound good.

The only thing where a small mistake apperantly was, is in the shortcut creations on the desktop for the Stand-Alone 64 bit version. Seems they changed the executable names of Symphonic Orchestra, Voices and Stormdrum2 so the shortcut linked to a not existing executable anymore. A quick change of the properties and all was perfect.

Besides all my exitments here I do have a question.
Untill now I did not realy came around using the WordBuilder because of the lack of having a midi loopback driver. I have found three different loopback adapters and wonder if any of you have some experiance with either one....

Lovin' it so far! Updated Browser window is a whole lot easier to use, and it's been quite solid, other than an initial crash, which might not even have been the plugin. Run on sentence, much?

It's about time, really. Mac users haven't seen an update for almost a year, and even Pro Tools has had a few builds since then.



But... see what happens for those who are patient with good software?

Play 2.08 working pretty well here with 8.03cs2 on my Mac Pro. Definitely feels snappier and so far hasn't crashed.

I just updated yeterday and now it's giving me non-authorization messages every time I try to load a sample..

It's looking on iLok and I think I initially installed as challenge/response..

The browser certainly seems better.. Let's see how it acts.

Okay, so now it has been a couple days using it in both Pro Tools and Logic and it is definitely better than it was. No crashes from it and I have brought my processors back up to 3 and buffer to 256.
