Default would you buy a 002 right now?

I just bought a new iMac G5 (to replace my five-year old G4) --- and was planning on buying a 002R this weekend (to replace my five-year old 001). Now I keep hearing it may be more prudent to wait. With the NAMM show just around the corner, might there be new products out that could replace the 002R? A 003 perhaps?

Regardless, I'm afraid there may be a huge price drop right around then anyway. Any thoughts on the matter anyone?

As always, Thank You in advance for any advice or suggestions.

Well apparently there are no serious objections... Alright, why wait then?!

Hey Billy,

There's no need to worry about it so much. Digi rarely debuts anything new at NAMM. But if you're worried about a price reduction right around the corner, go to a Sam Ash Music to buy your 002R. I'm not going to "whore" out my services, so I won't tell you which Sam Ash I work at. But we have a 60 day price protection plan... the longest in the industry. So you're covered beyond the NAMM show if you want your gear right away.

Sorry to those that don't wish to see "spam." That's not my motive. I'm just another Pro Tools user like y'all that likes to make music!

Take care,

-K

Hey, thanks for the positive news, K-Man. Jeez, I was beginning to feel like persona non grata around here! Although I usually end up at "Jee See" for my major purchases --- most of the time I can talk them down to the lowest price around --- I will certainly consider Sam Ash this time.

And since I'm literally half a block from the West Hollywood locale, it's makes it that much easier. Thanks for the tip!

--- Billy
