Default MBox Access Violation problem(very annoying)

I got an Mbox to do some work with a laptop. It runs XP SP1, centrino processor and 768 MB RAM.
Initially my laptop was 256 RAM and PT LE 6.4 wouldn't run. Every time I wanted to start a session, I got messages such as 'Access Violation' and 'Rewire DLL Application Error'- 'the instruction at "0x000sth referenced" memory at "0x000sth"- The memory could not be read'. I thought that the absence of minimum RAM was the cause so I upgraded to 756. Surprise! When I tried to use PT again, I encountered EXACTLY the same messages. You just won't believe how pissed off I am . Please help!!!!
