Still getting 1133 error..
After trashing all prefs i could find (including AMS), trashing all .ddb files, rebuilding perms, etc etc, i can't seem to get my 002r to boot up.
I had it going fine (on the laptop) for a whole 2 weeks... (well, after having to trash ALL prefs and ALL .ddb files once before to get it recording onto my firewire drives - ahem..) but for the last week or two it's been out of comission. I always get the 'digidesign hardware is in use by another app (-1133)' error popup.... I've not used another app with the digi core audio driver for weeks (tried Logic for a day but it worked horrendously), so i'm wondering whether there's anything left to try other than re-installing? I've read all the posts i could find both here and in the Answerbase, and can't seem to find a definate solution. Any ideas here? Most of the posts were left somewhat 'open ended', and when i tried given remendies, none worked - so far at least. Obviously, i'm fairly sure that a clean install of Pro Tools Le would do the trick, but it's not quite what i had in mind, as that would be ignoring the problem, in a way. I'm hoping someone here has a more definate answer to this problem. Maybe some incompatibility issues, e.g. with Reaktor, Logic, Melodyne, Audacity, Peak???? Who knows... Hope to hear back soon. Thanks Husky

Re: Still getting 1133 error..
Also... this will even happen when the 002r is not even plugged in to the laptop.. It never gets far enough into the boot-up to even check to see if it's there.
In other words, there's something in the startup (apps) of the computer that leads Digi to believe that it's Core Audio driver is being used.. Any ideas? Husky

Re: Still getting 1133 error..
So, i'm going to re-install the whole lot, and was wondering if you could give me some insight into the Core Audio Driver situation.
I.e. where it lives, what's involved in uninstalling it, etc. I'm assuming that the PTLe disk installer (or uninstaller rather) only applies to the PT app itself, and not the Drivers? HELP
