2 OSs & 2 PTs versions on one G4?
Greetings! I am currently (happily)running PTs 6.4 on Mac OS 10.3.9, but wish to install PT's 7.x which requires Mac OS (tiger) 10.4. Will PTs 6.4 run on Mac OS (tiger) 10.4 and if so, can PTs 6.4 and 7.x versions reside and be selected / launched form the same machine? Or could/should I leave all as is and install a separate drive for the new PT's 7.x & Mac OS (tiger) 10.4? I currently have projects in progress on the 6.4 and would prefer to complete these there as I wean myself from 6.4 to 7.x. thanks!

Re: 2 OSs & 2 PTs versions on one G4?
at the top of this page there is a "compatibility" link as well as "support and downloads".... the answers to your OS Q's patiently reside there. Good Luck!

Re: 2 OSs & 2 PTs versions on one G4?
Do an OSX 10.4 and a ProTools 7.3.1 installation on a different drive and leave your current system as it is
once you have works in progress. FYI ProTools Versions 6.2->6.9.1 runs on MacOSX 10.3.x Only 6.9.2 and higher requires 10.4.x |
