Default Artist Control makes Logic Arrange Window Jump

I have a Logic 9 template with a lot of external midi tracks addressing multiple software instrument tracks.

Many times with the Artist Control (MC Control) connected, you can play a note on the midi keyboard and Logic will jump to another track far down the list. It's random, but maddening. Happens all the time unless I just turn off the Artist Control.

Anything I can turn off in prefs or software to prevent this?
