Is this a Core Audio problem?

I'm running PT 6.2.2 on a PowerMac G4/867 with my Digi 001. Everything is fine as far as audio playback, except I also use Final Cut Pro 4 and it plays back through the G4 speaker instead of the Digi.

This used to work before I upgraded my PT software. Is this issue related to there not being a standalone Core Audio app for my situation yet? I have my system prefs set to playback through the digi, however i don't have a core audio app that will let me configure FCPro.

Also, if this is the case...when will the new Core Audio standalone be out? Next year?

I would do this first:
Make sure Digidesign HW (001) is the Default Output in your Mac's /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup.
Make sure FCP 4 is a Supported Application in your Digidesign CoreAudio Setup. If not, just Add New Application and select the FCP 4 app and then click Done and Done again.
If it still isn't working, then we can pursue other troubleshooting.
