liquid saffire 56
alright i have a question about this interface. I am pretty much going with this one since the refurbished resale value is outstanding for my budget. Plus 8 pres with individual phantom power switches, 2U rack space which in my mind I start thinking this thing could handle some mods in the future, 192 Khz sample rates and below which I am unsure about HD sample rates in the non HD version, either way the option for another DAW is still nice. My main question...
The thing has 2 liquid pre amps. The 2 pres operate through software where you choose the pre amp style being emulated from what I have gathered. Can anybody confirm that this liquid pre technology can be read and recorded into pro tools? thanks |

Re: liquid saffire 56
I'm not sure I understand your question. The liquid pre uses modeling to emulate other mic pres. What comes out is the audio that is recorded into your DAW. So, yes, the audio is modified by the liquid pre before it gets to your DAW and is recorded.
