Default Dumble Tone

Good morning. I believe this is my first post in this forum. I recently purchased an 11R and have been thrilled with it. I was curious though, if anyone has been able to get a convincing Dumble amp tone out of it.

Also, when turning on the 11R I get a loud reverberated "pop" after it powers up, ist this normal?

Don't turn your speakers on until after the 11R powers up.

I think you are confused. There is no amp in the Expansion Pack described as/intended to be a Dumble clone -- of course folks may think some Eleven Rack amp sims might sound close to some Dumble models (we all have them laying around to compare to right?). It's been talked/joked about adding Dumble models in future. There are some in the Fractal AxeFX now.

If you want this post that suggestion to ideas scale (what exact model and why?) and I expect offers to loan Dumble amps to the Eleven Rack team might increase their interest in doing this....

The AxeFX Dumble tones are really nice although I have to admit that I've never played through a real one. They could have called the amp model 'nose-nuggets' and I wouldn't have cared because it sounds great.

It would be nice to have one in the 11R, there is no such thing as too many good amp models IMHO.

For what it's worth a trainwreck model would be my number one request.

I have voted on someone else's Dumble request but it doesn't have a great deal of steam. I think I will call John Mayer this weekend to see if he would lend a couple of his to Digi so they can get what they need from it :)

If you really want to see what a Dumble sounds like DO NOT go to youtube and watch the Henry Kaiser video with Alexander Dumble. There are a lot of things out there that are better than that video...like herpes, irritable bowel syndrome and multiple-sclerosis. And it will also make you stupider listening to the pseudo physics spewing from fatboy's mouth about what makes his amp superior.

A Dumble amp is a great sounding amp which I believe is based on Fender amps with some well kept secret mods. But at anywhere from $10-50k they aren't that great. They're like the Louis Viutton of guitar amps, well made, perform well, grossly overpriced for no apparent reason.

Your correct. I must be getting some of the endless ideascales posts confused with the product listings.
