Default Akai MPK49 compatability

I purchased a new Akai MPK49 to be used as a midi controller within Pro Tools 7.4 LE. I have watched the Digidesign demo dvd and still cannot get my Mbox 2 Pro to recognize this midi keyboard. Can someone please help me with this problem!

Default Re: Akai MPK49 compatability

I had this problem with my mpd 24.....Not sure if this will work but in your midi studio setup in your pro tools menu, the mpk should show up, if it does create a new device.
then come from the out and the ins of the mpk to the new device, then go out of the new device into your midi interface....I had a similiar problem and then it showed up for me...dnt know if this is the right way but it worked for me

good luck
