Default Need Tips - Making Synth Strings Sound Real

I've got some material I'm mixing for a gentleman and there are several tracks (mono & stereo) of synth strings (Korg M1 and Ensoniq SD-1). Both of these are classic keyboards, but the sound quality is far from realistic. Any ideas on how I can make these things sound a little more organic?
