Definitely going to need a DREMEL job on the board, but not a MAJOR job. Called GigaByte and they were VERY cool over the phone. Going to shave it down some and we should be in business. Kinda a pain, but if it works WOO HOO! Bad design for sure, but ANYTHING for pro tools.

Go figure.... the open box motherboard was dead.... I am sending it back and have a NEW one of the same board coming to me in a day from Amazon. Not NewEgg's problem as I have had GREAT results in the past. They did not have a new one, but Amazon did. Cross your fingers...

The Dremel worked like a champ though. Glad the cover still works.

Ya I was bummed, but hopefully the NEW one will work. The dremel tool took about 5 minutes. The SATA connectors are not in the way at all so that was cool. Should be a great system when it powers up.

Looking at the Newegg pics I am (pleasantly) suprised the cards missed the SATA connectors.

This stuff is pretty fast
