2019.10 GUI Lag Toggle Between Automation & SoundShifter Pitch
First, I'll start off by saying. We've come a long way since 2016. I was on ProTools 12 and the GUI lag was miserable!
Now, I'm not having as many issues with 2019.10 but some things I wanted to get some clarity on. I've had this issue for a while now. When I toggle between the Waveform/Volume/PanL,PanR, etc., it's not as smooth transitioning to the different automation menus. I think I'm hyper sensitive to this because at work I'm on ProTools 10 and it's flawless. 2nd, this has been an issue since ProTools 12 for me. Whenever I add SoundShifter Pitch by Waves on an Insert - I get a noticeable lag. Anyone else notice this? I am on Waves V9. Could be something with this version of Waves? Here are my computer specs: Model Name: Mac Pro Model Identifier: MacPro5,1 Processor Name: 6-Core Intel Xeon Processor Speed: 3.46 GHz Number of Processors: 2 Total Number of Cores: 12 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache (per Processor): 12 MB Hyper-Threading Technology: Enabled Memory: 64 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770: Universal Audio Apollo Firewire macOS Mojave 10.14.6 |
