Default Problems with PTLE? Post your configuration he

I bought this new Dell computer, and I had PT 7.1 on my OLD computer (upgraded from 5.3.3.) But I couldn't transfer PT to this new Dell Dual Core computer, so I tried to install the original 5.3.3 disk and I get this error message:

"The application or dll C:\Program Files\Digidesign\Protools\Pace1lu1.dll is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."

Also, after several attempts, another message comes up (when running the PT installer) telling me that drivers need to be loaded and I must re-boot and re-insert disk. This procedure goes round and round and never ends.

Perhaps I need a newer version of PT?

Below are my comupter's's spec's. Please help! I MISS my PT!!!

Thank you!

Kiki

Yes, that would be it - at the very least, you would need Pro Tools LE 6.4cs9 for compatibility with WinXP and Service Pack 2.

Do you have the installers for Pro Tools 7.1? If so, that would be the best way to go - make sure to uninstall any previous versions of Pro Tools first.
