Default Found a good 4k monitor for S6

I found a good monitor for the S6 Producer Desk, and I thought I would share for anyone else researching the same.

http://accessories.dell.com/sna/prod...n&sku=860-BBFF

I wanted the Producer's Desk option to put the monitor in the middle, but the width of the hole inside was way too small for my Apple LED display. I found a good compromise with the Dell P2415Q. It's a 24" monitor with 4K resolution that you can set to 2560x1440 (same as the 27" LED/Thunderbolt Display). You get the same size workspace in a smaller footprint- that fits like a glove in the S6. Plus, it was only $430 on Amazon.

Another tip- Amazon just started selling the Ergotron LX adjustable monitor arm under Amazon's generic label. They powder coated it black, so it matches the S6 nicely. And it sells for $99 instead of the usual $140-150. Same build quality.

BTW, you have to do some tweaks to set up the Dell if you aren't on Yosemite yet. I can post that info if anyone else out there is curious.

Thanks for the link, Drew.

The only thing that seems to be different with Amazon's Arm vs. Ergotron LX is the plastic cover that goes over the lower cable channel to hide the cables. I have two Ergotron arms that have a thick, hard plastic cover that fits easily. The amazon cover is cheaper plastic; thin and is a little difficult to pop in place. My Ergotron arms are about 4 years old, so maybe it's just how they are making the covers now. It's a very minor issue. Everything else is identical. Awesome arms. They were even strong enough to hold an Apple 27" LED display with ease.

It's also worth mentioning that the arm works quite well attached to desk space behind the S6. You don't really need the Avid Monitor Stand option to attach a monitor arm.

Personally, that was a big question I had before buying the S6. I was relieved to see that it worked out fine.
