Default PT 8 channel vol fader

the default 0db has 12+ of gain boost and on the right side the default 0db says -6dB across from it....and it's peak is 0dB. Anyone know why those number were added on the right?

Because one set of numbers is for the fader and one set is for the meter.

Default Re: PT 8 channel vol fader

I bounced a session with volume at default 0db and the meter signal levels were -6dB (that is directly across from the volume's 0dB)...maybe some peaks at -5dB. I must say, it sounded much quieter than I remember PT 7.4.
Is everyone bouncing with the master fader's vol at 0db or higher? I am not looking for a super loud mix. In fact I am comparing this sessions bounce to a "Turn it up" CD and my bounce is still quieter.
