playback engine won't stick
I can't remember when this started, but I think it was long after we had installed PT 12.6. When I open up Pro Tools after a reboot on two of our systems, the playback engine has reverted to what seems to be a default playback engine (Source-Nexus B on one rig and Aggregate I/O on the other) even though the interface we had used previously is available and plugged in. This is annoying. Any one else have this problem?

Re: playback engine won't stick
Hi, No - I've never experienced this. It would be helpful to have more info on your system though.

Re: playback engine won't stick
Good point. Thanks for asking. This happens on two of our systems. Both are fairly new iMacs running Low Sierra and PT 12.6. One has an MBox Pro 3 and the other a Focusrite Scarlet 18i20.
